Get started
Welcome to Triggerflow
What Triggerflow is, what you can build with it and how this guide is organized.
Triggerflow connects your apps, your data and AI into workflows that run on their own. A workflow starts from a trigger (a message, a form, a schedule, a webhook…) and passes data through a chain of nodes that each do one job: call an API, change data, make a decision, ask an AI agent, send a message.
You build workflows on a visual canvas, test them step by step, and switch them on. From then on they run by themselves, and every run is recorded so you can see exactly what happened.
What you can build
- Answer customers automatically: an AI agent replies on WhatsApp or on your website, using your products and documents.
- Sync systems: new orders from your shop go to a spreadsheet, your accounting tool and a Slack channel.
- Take payments: ask for M-Pesa or Airtel Money in a chat, wait for the payment and confirm the order.
- Route and enrich leads: a form submission is checked, scored by AI and sent to the right person.
- Send reports: every morning, collect yesterday's numbers and post a summary.
How this guide is organized
- Get started: build your first workflow in about ten minutes, then learn the key concepts.
- Build workflows: the editor, triggers, executions and credentials.
- Work with data: how items flow between nodes and how to use expressions.
- Flow logic: branches, merges, sub-workflows, waits and approvals and error handling.
- AI: AI agents, chat and the other AI nodes.
- Organize and collaborate: folders and projects, team roles, templates and moving from n8n.
- Administer: security, monitoring, the API and self-hosting.
