Waits and human approval

Pause a workflow, or wait for a person to approve, decline or reply.

Wait

The Wait node pauses the workflow for a set time before continuing. The execution shows as waiting and can be canceled. The server sets the longest allowed wait.

Send and Wait for Approval

Send and Wait for Approval asks a person to approve, decline or reply, by Telegram, Slack, email, Gmail, Discord or WhatsApp, and pauses the workflow until they answer.

  • Choose the response type: Approve or decline (the message has Approve and Decline buttons) or Written reply (the person types an answer).
  • The workflow continues on the Approved or Declined output, or Replied / No reply for written replies, with the answer available to the next nodes.
  • Turn on Limit the wait so the workflow doesn't wait forever: when time is up, it continues on Declined (or No reply).

Use it for expense approvals, publishing content after a review, or checking an AI agent's answer before it's sent.
