Moving your workflows from n8n to Triggerflow

If you already automate with n8n, you don't have to start again. Triggerflow reads n8n workflow files and converts them into Triggerflow workflows.

Export from n8n

In n8n, open the workflow, choose Download from its menu, and save the JSON file. Repeat for each workflow you want to move.

Import into Triggerflow

On the Overview, use Import from files and choose one or more JSON files. Each one becomes a new workflow, and you get an import report for every file.

What the import report tells you

  • Nodes that have a Triggerflow equivalent are converted, with their settings.
  • Nodes without an equivalent are kept as placeholders in the same position, so the shape of the workflow stays intact and you can see exactly what to replace.
  • Connections, including AI agent sub-nodes (model, memory, tools), are kept.

Reconnect your credentials

Credentials are never part of an exported workflow, in n8n or in Triggerflow. After importing, add your credentials in Triggerflow (they are encrypted at rest) and select them on the nodes that need them. Nodes with a missing credential are flagged on the canvas.

Test, then activate

Run each step with Execute step to check its output on real data, then activate the workflow. From then on Triggerflow runs it on every event or schedule and keeps the full history of every run.
